“Dare” é baseado no curta do mesmo diretor postado mais abaixo. Segue a estória de três adolescentes muito diferentes ao longo do último semestre do ensino secundário. Alexa (Emmy Rossum), uma jovem que sonha em tornar-se independente; Ben (Ashley Springer), um jovem melancólico confuso sobre a sua sexualidade, e Johnny (Zach Gilford), o menino rico que tem tudo, incluindo a sua aparência, mas que por trás tem uma personalidade de bad boy. Este trio improvável acabam por se cruzarem nas suas vidas, e nos braços uns dos outros, fazendo um último esforço para agitar as coisas antes que eles tenham de começar a viver como adultos

Emmy Rossum (The Day After Tomorrow), Zach Gilford (TV's Friday Night Lights) and Ashley Springer (Teeth) head up a stellar cast including Ana Gasteyer (Mean Girls), Rooney Mara (A Nightmare on Elm Street), comedienne Sandra Bernhard (TV's Roseanne) and Alan Cumming (X2: X-Men United) in this captivating story of high school seniors at the crossroads of their adult lives. When a pompous actor tells good girl Alexa (Rossum) that she hasn't lived, she embarks on a bold journey that takes her to mysterious bad boy Johnny (Gilford). Envious, her shy best friend Ben (Springer) also dares to pursue Johnny, complicating Alexa's romance and pushing the boundaries among the three friends.

High school senior Ben secretly lusts after bad boy classmate Johnny. After Ben gives Johnny a ride home one night, the boys end up in Johnny's swimming pool and have an encounter that breaks the rules and blows Ben's mind.
